I firmly believe that origin is not deterministic. In my focus on new music, I hope to look at tradition through a critical lens without discarding all that it has to offer in the complex world of today. Contexts change, and meanings change. As such, there is no one purpose for music, so we should lean into that and explore the worlds that different musics create.
